DRA Global is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our Shared Services team in Woodmead

We are looking for a systems-focused professional who thrives at the intersection of business and technology. In this role, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and system users to analyse requirements, enhance business processes, support enterprise applications, and deliver practical system improvements across Timekeeping, Expense, Payroll, and HR platforms.

Role Overview

The Business Systems Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring that business and technical requirements align, facilitating seamless system functionality and user satisfaction. You will be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, coordinating with project teams, and supporting ongoing system enhancements and user training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse and document detailed business requirements.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand system and process needs.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities to improve business systems, processes, and user experience.
  • Develop functional specifications, user stories, and test cases to guide development.
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, developers, testers and business users throughout the system development lifecycle.
  • Support system improvements, manage change requests and deliver ongoing enhancements.
  • Provide second-level application support to users, resolving issues efficiently.
  • Assist with user training and promote system adoption.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive training materials, user guides and knowledge articles.
  • Stay up to date with vendor updates, new functionality, and relevant system best practises.

Qualifications

  • Matric certificate.
  • Diploma in Information Technology Systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Systems or related discipline is advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum of two years’ experience working within the IT division of a medium-sized organisation.
  • At least two years’ experience in training and supporting users.
  • Experience with SharePoint 2013, 2016 or Microsoft 365 is advantageous.
  • Experience with SQL Server 2012 or later is advantageous.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
